Darcy Convection Anisotropic Problem with Multi Stability of Stationary Motions for Rectangle Authorized by Mostafa Abdallah Ahmed Based on the Darcy model, fluid convection in a porous rectangle is analyzed taking into account anisotropy of thermal characteristics and permeability. Relations between parameters for which the problem belongs to the class of co-symmetric systems are derived. For this case explicit formulas for the critical numbers of the loss of stability of mechanical equilibrium are found. Using a finite-difference method that preserves the co-symmetry of the problem, family of stationary convective regimes is computed. Through the computational experiment the destruction of families is demonstrated in the case of violation of the conditions of co-symmetry. As result the appearance of a finite number of stationary regimes are obtained. To read more about this article:  Engineering Sciences To know more about  Journals :  Iris Publishe...

Gully Erosion and Landslides in Southeastern Nigeria: Causes, Consequences and Control Measures Authorized by Hycienth O Nwankwoala In southeastern Nigeria, soil and gully erosion and landslides are responsible for the widespread destructions of human, animal and plant lives, domestic, industrial and commercial property, transportation and communication systems, degradation of arable lands, contamination of surface and groundwater supplies, isolation of settlements and migration of communities. This account presents some of the results of research and studies of gully erosion and landslides carried out over the years in parts of southeastern States of Abia, Anambra, Enugu, Ebonyi and Imo States. Gully erosion is attributed to natural and anthropogenic causes, with the latter being most prevalent. Health and Environmental Impacts of Nox: An Ultra- Low Level of Nox (Oxides of Nitrogen) Achievable with A New Technology Authorized by Raimondo Alberto Bernabeo The damages to human health and environment result because of various compounds and derivatives in the family of nitrogen oxides, including nitrogen dioxide, nitric acid, nitrous oxide, nitrates, and nitric oxide. Nitrogen oxides in the atmosphere contribute to photochemical smog, to the formation of acid rain precursors, to the destruction of ozone in the stratosphere and to global warming. Comparative Study of Inorganic TiO 2 Nanoparticles and Organic Sawdust Dispersed Epoxy Based Composites Authorized by Md Anwarul Kabir Bhuiya This work reports the synthesis and characterization of inorganic Titania (TiO 2 ) nanoparticles and formation of epoxy-based composites loaded with 1wt%, 3wt%, 5wt% and 10wt% TiO 2 nanoparticles and sawdust by weight. The TiO 2 nanoparticles were prepared using sol-gel method and characterized by SEM and XRD analysis to ensure the size and formation of nanoparticles. These composites were subjected to mechanical testing to study various properties like tensile strength, flexural strength, young’s modulus, hardness on various loading percentages. In all respects, inorganic Epoxy/ TiO 2 nanocomposites showed better performance than organic sawdust/epoxy composites. The Unique Composition and Stability of Water-Fuel Emulsion Authorized by AV Dunaev The aim of the research is to analyze the use of water-fuel emulsions (WFE) and to develop a method for producing highly stable WFE with a high-water content. The method is based on the introduction and mixing in diesel fuel (DF) complex hydrophobic emulsifiers, the introduction and mixing in distilled water of a complex of hydrophilic emulsifiers, blending compositions fuel and water, mixing them, introducing the mixture and an additional stabilizing oil components and the mechanical and chemical treatment pumping of a mixture of 3.5 min. at a flow rate of 10 cm/s in combined static mixer-activator according to the patent of Russian Federation No. 2411074. At the end of long studies received a unique and more annual durability of WFE, that contains 65% diesel fuel, 33% water and 2% of the com-plex emulsifiers. Hematologically and chromatographic analyses of WFE showed its compliance with...

In-Plane Free Vibration of Functionally Graded Rectangular Plates with Elastic Restraint Authorized by Jiping Shen The in-plane free vibration of a rectangular plate made of functional graded materials (FGM) is studied based on the two-dimensional linear elasticity theory. The material parameters of FGM rectangular plates are assumed to vary along with the length and width directions according to an exponential law. The governing equation of motion for the FGM rectangular plate is derived using the D’Alembert principle. Subsequently, the equation of motion is solved by the Differential Quadrature Method (DQM), and the natural frequencies for in-plane free vibration of FGM rectangular plate are obtained accordingly. The effects of gradient index, length-width ratio and stiffness of elastic boundary on the natural frequency of FGM rectangular plates are discussed, and the modes for in-plane free vibration are provided.
