Finite Element Analysis and Calculation of Normal Section Bearing Capacity of Steel Tube Bundle Composite Shear Wall

To be a new type of building component, composite shear wall with steel
tubes bundle has been widely used in the steel structure
housing system as the development of prefabricated construction. In this
paper, ABAQUS has been used to analyze mechanical
performance of composite shear wall under low cycle reciprocating
loading conditions. 6 group simulations with different axial
compression ratio have been carried out, and both hysteretic curve and
skeleton curve have been drawn. The simulation results
showed that hysteretic curves become full before composite shear wall
damage, and seismic performance is good. When the axial
pressure ratio is 0.2, the bearing capacity of composite shear wall with
steel tubes bundle achieves its maximum value. The bearing
capacity of composite shear wall with steel tubes bundle also was
calculated using classical shear wall formulation, the results are
consisting with finite element simulation.
